Cricket Australia programs for primary schools use a ‘learn through play’ philosophy and culminate with modified T20 games like a Woolworths Cricket Blast program. These programs are made up of practical cricket activities that focus on fun, fitness and friendships.

A before or after school program designed to promote active lifestyles for kids of all abilities. This 4-week skills program promotes learning through play and uses skills challenges and small sided games to achieve learning outcomes. The program will give the students the confidence & competence to continue playing cricket in the community club, who will be linked to the school throughout the program.

Number of participantsCostSessions

Additional equipment Kit

VICTORIA ONLY – the inclusion of inflatables during the final week, which will set the session up as a celebration finale

Final session to be on club ground

*Dependent on a few variables: Club availability, ground availability, distance of club from school

Mascot Visit for one session

*Pending availability of staff and mascot

Example scenario

Thursday after school program where 20 students have signed up.

Coach from club delivers to the 20 students using the equipment kit which is sent to the school as part of the program (which school gets to keep post the 4 weeks).

School to add on 20 participant packs ($400), which will be delivered to the school for them to hand out to students in the very first week.

School chooses to add a mascot visit on the 4th and final week, whilst also selecting to do the last session on club ground (assuming club ground in 5-minute walk from the school, and club ground was available to use).

This allows students to finish the program with; a tangible takeaway item/backpack, introduction to the sport of cricket, and also be familiarised with a club location and its people.

Total cost = $1200 + $400 + $75 + 150 = $1825
