Rob is passionate about sport and has dedicated a large part of his life to playing sport, being a sports administrator, as well as volunteering in several sports. Having spent the last 15 years on the side of a National Sports Organisations and State Sporting Organisations Rob believes unquestionably in the power of sport and physical activity and its ability to unite the community.
Rob recently retired after 25 years as a Partner at Ernst and Young Chartered Accountants. During his time Rob ran complex organisations as well as managed a large professional services practice over Oceania and Asia.
Rob has been an independent member of Australian Sports Commission Finance, Audit and Risk Committee as the Independent member for over 8 years and was Finance Director of Richmond AFL Club from 2002 – 2019. He was also been the Chair of Hockey Victoria for the last 11 years, which is the sport he played many years ago.
General Manager - Sport Business
Andrew Larratt joined Sport Australia as General Manager, Sport Business, on 6 March 2018.
He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in the sport industry, most recently as Rugby Australia’s General Manager, Community Rugby and Strategy, where he and his team launched the VIVA7s non-contact rugby format which attracted 11,000 new participants. Mr Larratt was a member of World Rugby’s Tier 1 Development Directors and chaired the research arm for growing global participation.
He lectured post-graduate students in the Master of Sport Business program at Victoria University and worked at Cricket Australia from 2005–2013 where he became known as one of the sport’s great strategic thinkers.
This was evident through leading the Australian Cricket Conference which was the catalyst for governance reform, bringing forward the launch of the Big Bash League and nationalising cricket participation. Mr Larratt reinvigorated entry level participation through a refreshed MILO in2CRICKET programme and launching a fun, fast and dynamic programme MILO T20 Blast.
Mr Larratt understands and values the power of diverse thinking and wants to leave a legacy of a great Australia.
Brooke De Landre
General Manager - Strategic Coordination and Engagement
Brooke joined Sport Australia in mid-2019, bringing with her more than 20 years’ experience across the private and public sectors, leading media and strategic communication, national advertising campaigns, policy and program implementation, parliamentary coordination and issues management.
Brooke has worked in senior leadership roles across several complex areas of public policy, including health, education and national security - directly advising Ministers, senior executives and department secretaries.
Notably, Brooke successfully reformed the public affairs model of a large Commonwealth department as part of a significant machinery of government change.
In addition, Brooke has been a television news director and journalist for a major Australian network, and a Public Affairs Officer in the Australian Army Reserves.
General Manager - Corporate
Luke joins Sport Australia with a wealth of senior executive and corporate experience in the government and private sector.
Most recently Luke has been the Head of Finance at the Australian Federal Police and prior to this was a key driver of their enterprise transformation, encompassing both business and cultural reform. In addition to his knowledge and skills in corporate functions, he will bring to Sport Australia his strong business acumen and expertise in balancing the delivery of strategic business outcomes and a transformation agenda.
