Public tours of the AIS campus in Canberra resume today, Monday 20 February, and are operating on weekdays.

“After being closed for two years due to COVID-19 restrictions, it’s great to welcome the community back to campus,” Tours Manager Kirsty Clough said.

During the 90-minute AIS Tour, visitors will see our high-performance facilities up close, including our testing and training pool which is used by Australian swim team the Dolphins, and the basketball hall used by Basketball Australia’s NBA Global Academy, Centre of Excellence, Opals and Diamonds among other sports.

They also get to challenge themselves in Sportex, an interactive sports exhibit set among a unique collection of Australian sporting memorabilia.

Sportex is included as part of every AIS Tour.

Guided public tours depart from the AIS Visitor Centre at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.

The ASC is proud of the role it plays in supporting Australian athletes and coaches to reach their potential.

There has been increasing demand from sports to use the AIS site with sports also able to access specialist sports medicine, recovery, strength and conditioning, engineering and sports technology on-site.
