Almost 300 attendees from local, state and national sport and physical activity organisations and local government councils joined the session.

Attendees were provided with an overview of the Program, eligibility requirements and featured a popular Q+A session. All questions raised have now been included in the FAQ section of the Program webpage, which potential applicants are encouraged to review prior to applying.

ASC Director of Sport Programs, Dr Lindsey Reece, shared her enthusiasm following the information session.

“It’s great to see the wider Australian sporting and physical activity sector engage so warmly with the Play Well Participation Grant Program,” Lindsey said

“We look forward to receiving applications from national sporting organisations, national physical activity providers and local government councils from across Australia.

“It will be fantastic to review what innovative projects are proposed to enable more Australians to access sport and physical activity in their local community”.

Eligible organisations which missed the information session are encouraged to watch the recording, now available on the Program website. Applications for both streams close 2pm AEDT 23 February 2024.
