1. Child Safety – all coaches and coaching providers must self-register providing additional assurance for Working with Children requirements are being met
2. Bookings – all bookings must go through the system for child safety, quality control and more accurate participation data
3. Streamline School/Coach Connection – Establish a system that can connect coaches & schools at a local level to save NSO/SSO administration
4. Automation – reduce the manual requirements in the system, and increase the speed of processing
5. Maximise programs & participation – reduce the funds returned by schools

Which system do I need to use?

From Term 1, 2024 schools will be able to access the new portal to register, update details, apply for grants, and make bookings.

• The new school portal will be used for all processes for Term 1, 2024 and beyond.
• You will be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication for security purposes when you log in to the new school portal for the first time.
• When logging in for the first time, we encourage all school users to check and update (if required) these sections:
  • Your personal details
  • Your school(s) details
  • Other school contacts' details
  • School bank account details
• We encourage you to save the new School portal link as a 'favourite' or bookmark
• If successful with your Sporting Schools grant application, you must make a booking through our new school portal in order to receive payment of your grant.
• Some historical data including previous grant applications will be migrated to the new portal in January 2024.

• There will be several changes to the Sporting Schools website, including links to the Sport Portal, throughout Term 1 and Term 2 2024.
• Stay tuned - you’ll hear from us when we can share the new portal login information for managing Term 1, 2024 bookings.
• Term 4 Invoices – we are asking schools to complete their Term 4 acquittal in December 2023. As a result, you may be asked to invoice sooner. We’d be grateful if you can support this.

• From Term 2, 2024 it will be is a requirement that all coaches registering to deliver under Sporting Schools, must have completed the free ASC Community Coaching course provided by the ASC.
• Whilst this feels a way off, we encourage you to sign up and complete this course and save your completion certificate.
