National Volunteer Week 2025
This National Volunteer Week (NVW) (19-25 May) the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is calling on all Australians to give 3 Cheers for Volunteers and recognise the millions of volunteers across Australia who connect our communities through sport.
From the city to the outback, and everywhere in between, volunteers are the heart of Australia’s sporting story and this year we’re putting their stories on the map!
From 19 May you can visit the Volunteer Map to find and nominate the sport volunteers over 18 years old who make a difference in your community and give them 3 Cheers today!
We acknowledge the incredible contribution junior volunteers make to sport in Australia,
however, due to child safeguarding policies, only volunteers over the age of 18 can be
displayed on the map. We encourage you to seek parent/guardian permission and utilise the toolkit below to celebrate the junior volunteers making a difference in your community.
NVW 2025 Toolkit
We have prepared a marketing toolkit for you to use this NVW to celebrate your volunteers and encourage your network to nominate and explore the stories of the local heroes who connect your community through sport.
The toolkit has a range of editable social tiles, web and newsletter graphics, downloadable posters, key messages and more.

The ASC have prepared the below graphics for you to promote NVW in your email, web and newsletter communications.

To customise your graphics, download the file labelled 'editable' in the size you want, open the file in PowerPoint, insert your logo and/or image to the allocated spot and save as a JPG file.
The ASC have created the below posters for you to print and display around your club, sporting facility, workplace and more!

The Volunteering Australia theme for National Volunteer Week is 'Connecting Communities' and celebrates the power of volunteering to bring people together. We recommend utilising both ASC and Volunteering Australia key messages in your NVW communications.
